On March 14, 2020, the govenment of Rwanda declared the first COVID-19 case,  Since then schools and other public learning facilities were immediately close with hope to minimize the spread of coronavirus. However, students were sent home empty handed. No chrome books, packets or books for extended, independent study. Many parents always wish they could have an opportunity to keep their children reading and learning… In an effort to respond to this cause, Ready for Reading developed the concept for an online content  in response to the COVID-19 crisis and is the first phase of this project coming to life
